Busy Last Work Day of the Year
It was a busy day today, I had a double stop at Best Buy.
St Croix OMS
First, I picked up 2 machines at St Croix OMS that needed repairs. One is an E-Machine with a bad power supply. We buy their machines with 3 year warranties, and this one was just a month from expiring. It's too bad, because I could have replaced the power supply in a day, and now we have to wait 2 weeks for it to be returned from Best Buy Service. The second is a 5 year old Dell desktop which needs a new hard drive. This will be my project for next week.
Lori Stopperan
While at Best Buy, I picked up a cable modem and wireless router for my friend Lori Stopperan. I would have gotten the wireless cable modem, but it was $150 instead of $129 for the 2, and we got a $20 gift card to boot. After Best Buy, I rode my bike over to her house and got everything configured in anticipation of her Earthlink hookup the next day.
